Computer work is a major cause of aches and pains in today's workplace. Back muscles work 95% harder when leaning forward at your chair, the typical mousing position. About 99% of all jobs use desktop computers thse days.
HELP! MY COMPUTER IS KILLING ME & PREVENTING ACHES AND PAINS FROM COMPUTER WORK by Dr. S. Imrhan).

Worthy testimonials from some Mouseboarders/Comfy MousePaders

NOTE: Comfy MousePad is also known as MouseBoard

Charlee,
I ordered a mouse board the day I heard you describe it on the Jeff Levy computer show in Los Angeles, it arrived in a couple of days. The more I use it, the better I like it. I am an eighty one year old Pearl Harbor Survivor. It is much more comfortable to sit back in my chair, and work the mouse on my lap when surfing the net instead of leaning forward with the mouse on the desk. I like it so well that I am ordering four more mouse boards for Christmas gifts.

Hi Charlee,
I have found the MouseBoard to be extremely convenient and comfortable to use. Occasionally it has ended up behind something on my desk, but it only takes me a few minutes of working on a mouse intensive application to realize that my arm is getting sore. I immediately unearth the MouseBoard and within a few minutes I am comfortably "mousing" again. It also relaxes my shoulder and back because I can lean back in my chair and keep my shoulder and arm in a natural position while I use the mouse. This is a product I consistently use and recommend to my friends.

Hi, and thanks for the message.
I am one of the many who ordered your mouseboard and I think it's wonderful! I have had to take a high dosage of ibuprofen for my "computer elbow" if I work for more than an hour or two. But since receiving your board, have had no trouble whatsoever. It has saved me a lot of grief.
Thanks for your invention. You have one truly satisfied customer. Mcgingee

Hi Charlee,
I ordered a mouseboard that got "reallocated" by someone at work. I hate that! Now I know how to get another one! Take care and I'll pop over to your web site as soon as I get a chance! Happy holidays to you and yours, too!
Mary

Hi Charlee,
I'm faxing my order for 1 purple mouseboard as we speak! Great webpage...Great concept! I just lost my job this week after 11 years with AT&T...otherwise I would be ordering more at this time...Give me a bit of time to recoup and I promise to send in more orders...I know sooooooo many people that would love this product! THANKS for taking the time to share your idea with me. Take care and keep in touch!

MouseBoard, a Companion.
And there I was, relaxing back in my chair, my feet on the corner of my computer desk, surfing the Net--with my MouseBoard on my right thigh and my trackball on the MouseBoard. I was so relaxed that I didn't realize how much time elapsed while I was surfing the Net. If I keep this up, I'm going to have to subscribe to one of those Net Servers with unlimited hours for a set fee.

This concept really works well for me. I often get cramps in my shoulder form working with a mousepad that sits to high.

I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my wrist and elbow and before I started using your MouseBoard, I would suffer pain after only twenty minutes of use. Now due to the use of your MouseBoard I can stay on my computer as long as I want. I cannot thank you enough for inventing the MouseBoard. I feel that anyone like myself with carpal tunnel syndrome will feel as I do, if they have the use of your MouseBoard.
Sincerely,
Edna Valles, San Diego, CA

The MouseBoard is very comfortable, it frees me from sitting at the desk. I can get away form the glare of the monitor and sit with my feet up on my desk and mouse on my lap. The MouseBoard is a great device when surfing the net or playing mouse based games.

Looks great - I think it lends a more sophisticated professional airs to my home office. I am a dentist, so the chronic discomfort of arm extension for mousing on the internet at home after a long day at the office seemed unbearable. Then I got a MouseBoard, no more extending my arm to use my mouse. I can now sit comfortably with my mouse on my MouseBoard on my lap. No more arm extension discomfort and my work at the office has been more comfortable also. Since my arm and wrist are no longer stressed out with mousing at home I can work comfortably. Thank you MouseBoards for making my profession enjoyable again.

"The MouseBoard that Roared"
It seems so simple. A product called the MouseBoard. Why didn't I think of it first. Charlee in Castle Rock, Colorado came up with it. She must have been sitting around one day trying to come up with a way to make computing easier and more comfortable... when suddenly, one of her "lights" went on. I'm here to tell you about how the rest of it is history. It is so simple... the MouseBoard. She just make a lap dog out of your mouse. If you spend much time sitting at a computer... you've probably put up with a little physical discomfort. It could be strained eyes or neck, or worse. It's a sign of our high tech times. Companies have been trying lately to come up with ways to soothe our cyber aches and pains. You see a lot of weird shaped mouses and keyboards. Some of them are split right down the middle... some are round. Whatever the shape or purpose, the buzz word is ERGONOMICS. The latest solution to the problem, at least where the mouse and mousepad are concerned, is the MouseBoard.
The MouseBoard is a platform which lets you operate a mouse on your leg or lap. That way you don't have to hold your arm out on the desk all the time. So what, you say! Well, that's apparently not all that natural. The MouseBoard allows your arm to hang at your side while your forearm rests at a natural 90 degree angle. Visit the MouseBoard website, and you'll quickly see the three different suggested uses for the contoured piece of foam.

"Better Design For Less pain"
Charlee Lovejoy thinks the best place to put your PC mouse is on your lap. She invented the MouseBoard, a comfy mousepad and holder that saddles your leg. The idea, she says, is to prevent wrist strain from using the mouse at desk level. "People have been mousing on their desk for 20 years, since the mouse was invented," says Lovejoy. "Nobody has done anything any differently." And as costs for workers compensation have gone up with carpal tunnel syndrome claims, she says, it only makes sense to put the mouse on your lap.
The premise of the MousBoard is that, as you sit at your desk, the most restful place for your hands would be at your sides or on your lap. But if you use a mouse, you strain as you reach for your desk, since most desks are taller than the height of your lap. Some users stack the mouse on phone books or sit on the floor to prevent wrist strain. But now they can spend $19.95 for a MouseBoard foam saddle. Lovejoy says she has sold several hundred of them and is collecting stories about how the MouseBoard has given people comfort and freedom at their desks. She says graphic artists can sit back from their monitors and see better. And people who gamble on over the Internet's 1000 gaming sites can play longer without getting wrist fatigue.
The MouseBoard comes in blue, black, purple, and red. The MouseBoard, which is manufactured in Denver, is available directly through Core Connections or through the World Wide Web at www.comfymousepad.com
